The Research Office for Advanced Modelling and Optimisation of Renewable Energy Systems operates under the auspices of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts. Its mission is to promote research and innovation in the field of renewable energy, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainability, and the application of advanced modelling and optimisation technologies for energy systems.
The Office is directed by Academician Soteris Kalogirou, Professor and internationally recognised expert in the fields of renewable energy and energy systems.
The Office seeks to make a substantial contribution to the development and implementation of innovative energy solutions, to support the energy transition, and to strengthen scientific research in Cyprus and internationally. At the same time, it promotes collaboration among academic institutions, research centres, industry, and other stakeholders, reinforcing the role of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts as a centre of scientific excellence and a leading contributor to evidence-based knowledge in the fields of energy and sustainable development.
