The Republic of Cyprus Award for Excellence is conferred upon distinguished and eminent individuals in the fields of science, letters, or the arts who have made outstanding contributions and achieved exceptional distinction in their respective disciplines.
The Award recognizes individuals whose work has made a decisive contribution to the advancement of science, letters, or the arts in Cyprus, or whose achievements have significantly enhanced the country’s scientific, intellectual, or artistic standing. Recipients are expected to have attained international recognition and to enjoy broad professional and public esteem for the excellence of their work.
Eligible candidates include citizens of the Republic of Cyprus, irrespective of their country of residence, as well as non-Cypriot nationals who have either been permanent residents of Cyprus for more than five years or are of Cypriot origin.
